TN-Birds: Rick Knight called at 10:25 a.m. this morning (Tuesday) and said he had just seen a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER at Wilbur Lake, Carter County, in Northeast Tennessee. It was seen at the bridge at the upper end of the lake at the intersection where you turn right ot go to the small white church. This west coast species is an extremely rare find. Rick saw the bird at 9:55 a.m. eastern time and it was with in the pines with a small band of chickadees. Wilbur Lake is a very small TVA reservoir adjacent to the tailwaters of Watauga Lake.
