It was a bit wet Sunday morning April 28th at Cross Mtn and Cove Lake SP for TOS field trip but Harold Howell led Chris Welsh, Susan Hubley, Becky Bateman, and Ryan Trenkamp to a pretty good day, 60+ species. It actually wasn't raining when we first got up on Cross Mountain, but it was so clouded in we couldn't see more than 30 meters or so. Not much to add to the report from Saturday's Cross Mtn trip. Most notable: 6 Common Loons at Cove Lake plus 2 Greater Scaup. Several Solitary and Spotted Sandpipers were in flooded grass area below the restaurant (seen from inside, out of rain, while sipping coffee and contemplating whether to go with strawberry-rhubarb pie or cherry cobbler).
