Good morning Tn-birders….
As you all know the Annual TOS Spring Meeting will be held in Nashville this
year. The dates are April 26-28th. All pertinent information and the
registration form can be found at
http://www.tnbirds.org/Events/Springmtg19.html . You can pay all fees by ;
sending a check to Pam Lasley, NTOS Secretary or by going on the NTOS webpage
and using PayPal. https://sites.google.com/site/nashvillebirds/membership . ;
(Scroll to the bottom of the page at the link…go to the ‘donate’ button and
indicate in the form ‘what’ you’re paying for… )
Please take special note that this particular weekend will be a VERY busy one
for Nashville in general. Not only will the NFL Draft be taking place but also
the ST. Jude’s Rock n Roll Nashville Marathon. Needless to say hotels are
already getting filled. But lucky for you we have a block of room being held
at the Baymont Inn at Maryland Farms, the host hotel but ONLY UNTIL MARCH 15TH.
So if you even are ‘thinking’ about attending the meeting you might want to
get your reservations made…rooms will be released after the 15th and we can’t
guarantee you’ll find one with all that’s going on in town that weekend. A
suggestion: If you’re on the fence about attending I encourage you to confirm
the cancellation policy with the hotel and go ahead and make a reservation and
cancel down the road if you eventually decide not to come.
Also of importance…Dinner reservation for Saturday night at the Nashville Zoo
must also be made ahead of time for the caterer’s count. NO RESERVATIONS FOR
THE DINNER WILL BE TAKEN AFTER APRIL 19TH.
As always you may register and sign-up for field trips ONLY at the Friday night
reception at the Baymont…all field trips will leave from there Saturday and
Sunday morning.
We hope these deadlines don’t cause an inconvenience for you and that you will
be able to join us for a wonder spring weekend in Nashville.
As always if you have any questions please let me know and I’ll do my best to
get you an answer.
Thanks and see YOU in April!
