TN-Birders: Tennessee Birds Net has signed on subscriber address number 500. The newest subscriber joined the list Thursday, Jan. 18, at 1:15 p.m. To the best of my knowledge this is the first time we have reached that number. We had been within two or three subscribers of 500 for most of January. The exact number of birders, resource managers, educators and researchers reading TN-Birds is not known. Some addresses have two or more persons reading the posts at a single address. For various reasons, a few are subscribed using two addresses. The number of subscribers is a factor of churn. That is because people are subscribing and unsubscribing at different intervals. Since Jan. 1, 10 subscribers have joined TN-Birds Net with 6 unsubscribing, yielding a net gain of 4 addresses for the list. Let's go birding.....
