[TN-Bird] TN Warbler, etc - Anderson

It was girls' morning out on Saturday so Daniel and I had a boys' morning.
After breakfast on the deck with Daniel enthusiastically pointing at the
Red-tailed Hawk and hummingbirds and saying "Ay! Ay!", we loaded up the car
and went for a birding stroller ride in the fog along the Melton Hill / Haw
Ridge Greenway in Anderson Co from 10-11am.

Some nice activity here including two groups of birds with migrants and lots of
hummers working the jewel weed along the river. Daniel liked watching the
Black Vultures.

The first group was on the causeway south of Edgemoor Rd overpass and mostly
comprised of the local kingbirds and phoebes but also a silent Empid that
looked like a "Trail's". I've not had Willow Flycatcher here but habitat looks
good... except for lack of willow trees.

Other highlight in this group was my first Tennessee Warbler of fall, guess he
came in with the Vol Nation for the game. Go Vols! I believe it was Jim
Campbell that first pointed out to me that TN Warblers typically show up in
Knoxville just in time for the UT season opener.

The second group of migrants was on the edge of the powerline cut at the end of
Old Edgemoor Rd. More warblers here but a bit distant and uncooperative.
Highlights were:
Am Redstart
Blackburnian, 1-2 (another good omen for the Orange and White!)
Chestnut-sided
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, several

Go Vols!
