Humphreys County Duck River Unit of TN NWR May 5, 2014 Productive visit to the bottoms this morning turned up the following notables. Spotted Sandpiper Western Sandpiper Semipalmated Sandpiper Pectoral Sandpiper Stilt Sandpiper (1st for me at this site) Short-billed Dowhitcher Lesser Yellowlegs Greater Yellowlegs Sora Little Blue Heron Peregrine Falcon Bobolinks All of the water/shorebirds and Peregrine were along the Blue Goose Blvd Loop, especially near the end of the loop on the left hand side. Still several Blue-winged Teal scattered about. Also a few coots and a lingering Horned Grebe along the loop (crippled/injured?) same spot it was in couple weeks ago. The Bobolinks capped off the morning. They were in the grass/vetch field at the end of the main road next to the river. Full report on eBird.
