Cyndi, thank you for the reminder. I submitted reports last year, but was
unaware that this weekend was the weekend (in August). I visited the same
spot I did last year, but saw fewer swifts enter the chimney last evening.
Although there were seven or eight flying around at dusk, only three
entered the chimney. I'm guessing the other four or five birds have another
chimney or a hollow tree nearby, or they entered the chimney after dark. I
hope to go out tonight and find the other roost.
Thanks again for reminding us. I now have next months and next year's dates
marked on my calendar.
