Washington County, TN Eli Masters Road 36.1653°N, -82.5449°W topozone map: http://tinyurl.com/2bhb94 4:30 pm - 7:20 pm ET I arrived at the kite location this afternoon at 4:30. After scanning the area for half an hour I spotted one of the kites over Potato Hill; the prominent knob 0.9 mile to the southeast of the junction with hwy 107 (see map link above). I also had a great conservation with Mr. Seale about birds and birding. He owns the Masters Farm and its 19th century farmhouse where the kites are being seen. He was excited that the bird was still present and hoped that more people get to see them. He seemed a little surprised that so many people would come from so far to see the birds. I managed to get a mediocre photo of the bird. It will be posted at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mhodge tomorrow.
