Tennessee Birders: I received the following message through the TOS website, www.tnbirds.org. Contact Mr. Champion for more details. There is at least one previous record of this kite from Polk County, in August 1986. Also, most previous records of this species have been in August or September. Anyone know of July records? I am from Atlanta and these seem to be common in S. GA...but I thought it was rare for this area. Thought you might like to know.
