Hi Birders,

Just a moment ago, one of the fabulous cedar waxwings that have been
frequenting my hackberry trees for several days here in Charlotte Park, West
Nashville, Davidson County, perched on the deck chair just six feet away from
me. It
managed to snatch a beakfull of peanut butter (didn't know THEY ate that) and
sped away into a hackberry tree when one of my threatening mockingbirds
immediately chased it away from its "stash." Dang, no time to grab the camera
from
the table behind me to document the event. My hackberry trees are almost
stripped, so I doubt that I'll see many more cedars. Maybe this absolutely
gorgeous creature was so famished that it settled for PB. I have NEVER seen
one go
for PB before in all my 60+ years of birding.
