Snow Bunting Peninsula, Davidson Co.
12-1-15, 12:45 pm.
I was able to view the Surf Scoters on my lunch break at Old Hickory Dam from
12:45 to 1:15. They were straight out from Snow Bunting peninsula (at the end
of Burnett Rd). Also present were Redhead, Red-breasted Mergansers, Lesser
Scaup, Ruddy Duck, Bufflehead, Gadwall, and Mallard.
Thanks very much for reporting them!

At 9am this morning 12/1/2015 there
were 7 surf scoters above the dam (sumner county) with a
flock of 35 lesser scaup. Viewed from access point at old
hickory park. There was one adult male, a first year
male and five females. Very far out.
