The Alliance for the Cumberlands* proposes a Wildlife Viewing Trail in and
through the 21 counties in TN stretching from Hamilton to Franklin
counties in the south to Pickett and Claiborne in the north. This
self-guided motor trail would ?highlight wildlife opportunities of the
region? and ?would serve as a model for sustainable ecotourism and provide
a tangible connection between wildlife conservation and local economic
development?.

As the current TOS representative I want to solicit your suggestions as to
routes, ?loops? along the routes, and stops. Suggestions should perhaps
be best provided ?offlist? at jeingles@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Criteria will include the accessibility of wildlife, the minimization of
harm to the same, parking, restrooms, seasonal variation, and equitable
balance of the economic benefits of increased tourism.

For a model of the intended product, please visit

*TOS is a charter member of the Alliance, an umbrella forum whose members
are organizations, (public and private, profit or non-profit). It is
itself non-profit and does not purchase, manage or own land or structures,
nor does it possess regulatory power of any kind. Its own website is
