This years meeting of the Tennessee Ornithological Society will be help Feb 16, 17 and 18 in our sister state at Decatur AL. Activities will be centered at the Holiday Inn, 1101 6th Ave, Decatur, AL 35601, Phone 1800/55303150 where a block of rooms has been reserved at a rate of $72.00/night for TOS members. Soft drinks will be provided. =20 Members Pics - A slide projector as well as a digital projector and screen will be available for folks to share slides or digital images of birds, TOS field trips, meetings, members, conservation projects or what ever you wish to share with the group. If you have images of this sort that you would be willing to contribute for inclusion in TOS promotional material (brochures, slide shows, posters, etc) please bring these images on a CD or DVD and give to David Vogt (Chattanooga, Chapter). =20 =20 Field Trip Sign Up- Tentatively, field trips will be offered to Wheeler Wildlife Refuge (for waterfowl and possibly some early shorebirds) Refuge Manager, Dwight Cooley will lead a trip into some of the closed areas of the refuge for TOS members and TVA biologist, Damien Simbeck will lead a trip to Pickwick Dam (for gulls etc). =20 Saturday, Feb 17 =20 7:00 (central time) - field trips depart from parking lot at Holiday Inn =20 3:00 - Informal meeting and brainstorming session at Holiday Inn meeting room. Bring up your thoughts on what would make our organization better.
