Ed Schneider and I located one roseate spoonbill at Moss Island WMA this
evening at 630pm. It was not in the pond immediately against the Great River
Rd that is only ~200m south of the entrance road to Moss Island. The bird was
in a pond surrounded by willows that is south of the wooded tract that was
abutting the pond where they were seen before. The pond is approximately 0.5mi
south of the mature forest that buts up against the Great River Rd. There is a
gravel ATV only road south of the mature forest and the pond is south of there.

We also had 25 Snowy Egret, 40 Cattle Egret, 140 Great Egret, 25 Great Blue
Herons, 5 Little Blue Herons, 8 Eastern Kingbirds, and a Baltimore Oriole in
the area (plus local resindents). Several hundred N. Rough-winged Swallows
were found on the wires in Moss Island.

Good birding!
