Greene County: Wal-Mart Distribution Center (WMDC), Joachim Bible Refuge unit
of Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area (JBR), etc.
The recent cold front unclogged the migration pipes and brought an influx of
birds to the area. Highlights today included the following:
Blue-winged Teal (48 WMDC)
Green-winged Teal (3 WMDC)
Great Egret (2--1 WMDC, 1 JBR)
Red-shouldered Hawk (immature JBR)
Sora (JBR)
Least Sandpiper (WMDC)
Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Barn Owl (2 JBR)
Eastern Screech-Owl (Greeneville)
Philadelphia Vireo (WMDC)
Common Raven (adjacent to WMDC)
Bank Swallow (WMDC)
Cliff Swallow (WMDC)
Chestnut-sided Warbler (WMDC)
Palm Warbler (4 JBR)
American Redstart (WMDC)
Northern Waterthrush (WMDC)
Common Yellowthroat (8)
Hooded Warbler (Greeneville)
