TN-Birders:
Since some of you use Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers to mark
valued birding sites, collect data on the location of unusual birds,
heronries, etc., I felt you would want to see this article which was published
today by Reuters news service.
Others of you may use GPS systems for directions and travel and have
systems that came installed with the purchase of your car.
GPS is a satellite-based navigational system used widely by the U.S. military,
scientists and civilians.
