Tenn birders, Am enjoying birding the Duluth area while working here for 2 weeks. One of the top area birders stated that the number of snow buntings this year is the highest by a long shot since he began birding in the mid-80s. Might be a good thing to check areas that this bird might show up in the Volunteer state. As several of you might be interested , none of the three owl species known from this area has made a respectable showing yet. Neither Great Grey or N Hawk has been reported, and a single Snowy was seen several wks ago, but not refound.
