A day late report after my quick report yesterday. Looking a lot like spring
migration to bust open down here soon, The Black-bellies are back, not that I
don't think they stayed the winter somewhere nearby.

TVA, Pits and Riverport Rd.

Lesser Scaup 500 Good size raft of birds still hanging out at the lake.
Should be departing north soon.
Long-tailed Duck 1 Female that has been here this winter still hanging out
with the Scaup.

Comments: Nice drive around the levees, lots of water everywhere, not much
in the way of mud flats in the lagoons.

Black-bellied Whistling-Duck 73 FOS, looks like last years birds came in
all together today they were not here Sunday. 5 good sized groups and three
sets of pairs. Several of the pairs were observed mating. One group of seven
sharp looking birds all swimming together like they were part of the same brood
from last summer.
Greater White-fronted Goose 4 These four have been here since the weekend
just hanging with the Canada Geese on the Levees, Don't know if one of them
might have a bum wing.

Greater Yellowlegs 12 FOS shorebirds coming through, small group of
nervous nellies finally set down long enough for an ID.
