Location: TN 2 Mem,TVA PONDS Observation date: 11/19/07 1145am-1pm Notes: Lots of birds coming and going, to the point of making it hard to count. Small pond for first time this year was loaded with ducks. Bird of the day was a pair of Bald Eagles. 1st one seen in the dead wood trees east of the small pond. This same tree has become a favorite perch for visiting raptors. Heard what I thought was a second eagle but scanned the skies and nothing, a couple minutes later out came a second eagle from behind and below the perched one. It came in about 50ft off the deck and over the ponds. Once it got over the big pond every duck in town took to the air. So much for counting ducks. The eagles circled away over to the treatment plants fields and ponds and then slowly meandered S-SW.
