Sightings Report, Collierville, Shelby County, Tn
Location: Frank Rd Landfill Greenbelt Park

Observation date: 10/22/06, 1040am-1pm, Overcast to clearing

Notes: Rough-winged swallows found feeding over the west end of the
beaver pond, wouldn't expect to see them here much longer but with the wacky
weather anything is possible. (Brownish birds top w/ dusky lt brown/beige
throat, white underbelly.) LBJ's starting to show in numbers in the
hedges, low trees and high grass. Water level way, way,way down on both
ponds. Beaver pond has had a fire west end at the beaver lodge. Looks like
kids tried burning the pile of sticks they found, about a 1/4 acre is chard
real good and the lodge totally gone with two down pines. However alot of
birds are flocking in around the chard remains of the area and ajoining mud
flats. 14 Deer spooked today including several 6 points or better.
