Location: TN 2 Mem, Maxson Wastewater Lagoons(The Pits)/Earth Complex
Observation date: 5/13/08

Notes: More stormy weather coming in tonight so I decided to do a late
PM run to the pits. Mostly dry on the levees but I didn't make a go of it on
the back trail since it still had some soft wet spots when i reconed it. The
van has no 4WD so I backtracked pit #5. Good day overall, No peregrine to
stir the pot. Birds were spread out every where on #5 and alot were in the
tall weedy pond out of sight just saw alot of movement especially little
peeps. Petorals seem to have dropped out of site as have the Solitaries as
far as numbers go. I'm probably low on the Blk-necked Stilts. Alot were
feeding in big groups of 8 or more on #5. Phalaropes seem to have dwindled
also. More Spotted Sp today though. Probably won't be going for a day or two
due to the bad weather coming in tonight through Thurs. But then again it
might bring in some good birds with it.
