I haven't seen posts here for the Short-eared Owls being seen at Shelby Farms
in Memphis, Shelby Co., so here's my eBird list from Thursday, April 12. Andrea
Cowart told us up to three have been present. Sorry for the delay in posting, I
hope they will hand around just a bit longer for those who might want to try
for them, though I know it's about time for them to move north.

Comments: With Scott King. Met Andrea Cowart, who alerted us when an owl
appeared behind our car, and later directed us to look where she and another
birder had seen it land on the ground.
