Pool 6 continues to be the main attraction for shorebirds at the Duck
River Unit, TNWR this week, with 10 species seen this afternoon.
The only new addition for the season was a single American Golden Plover
in basic plumage, (#17) with the rest being continuing common shorebirds.
Pool 2 and Pool 10 were still flooded, but both are now running into pool
1, and from there being pumped into the lake.
Mother nature cooperating, there should be additional mudflats appearing
this week, in time for a July Big Day that I am planning for Saturday.
