4 May 2007 Shelby Park and Bottoms East Nashville, Davidson Co This morning I birded Shelby Park and Phase 1 of Shelby Bottoms with Mike Smith. We saw or heard 65 species, including 21 Warblers. Warblers included: Blue-winged - 1 Tennessee - 7+ Nashville - 1 Yellow - 3 Magnolia - 2 Cape May - 1 Yellow-rumped - 35+ Black-throated Green - 2 Blackburnian - 1 Yellow-throated - 3 Praire - 2 Palm - 6 Blackpoll - 14+ Black-and-white - 1 American Redstart - 1 Worm-eating - 1 Ovenbird - 1 Northern Waterthrush - 1 Common Yellowthroat - 5 Hooded - 1 Yellow-breasted Chat - 4 Other species seen: Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 1 White-crowned Sparrow - 4 Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 3 Willow Flycatcher - 1 Least Flycatcher - 1 Warbling Vireo - 1 Phillip Casteel Nashville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
