I birded Sharp's Ridge in Knoxville from 8 - 11am this morning, Friday, 4/29. Seven other birders were there as well. American Redstart - 1 (FOS) Black-throated Green Warbler - 2 Cape May Warbler - 1-2 Chestnut-sided Warbler - 1 (FOS) Hooded Warbler - 2 Magnolia Warbler - 1 (FOS) Northern Parula - 2 Orange-crowned Warbler - 1 (FOS) Ovenbird - 1 Pine Warbler - 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler - 5+ Others saw Blackpoll and Nashville Warbler as well. Red-eyed Vireo - 4 White-eyed Vireo - 1 (FOS) Baltimore Oriole - 1 (FOS) Indigo Bunting - 3 Scarlet Tanager - 1 Barn Swallow - 1 Chimney Swift - 1+ (FOS) Chipping Sparrow - 1 Brown Thrasher - 1 Wild Turkey - 2 Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Red Admiral, and Red-spotted Purple butterflies were seen.
