[TN-Bird] Shane and Dennis Adams have gone Birdwatching Today.

Birders:( Shane and Dennis Adams have Gone Birdwatching Today )


This morning on May 21, 2006 Shane and Dennis Adams have gone birdwatching 
today at different locations and saw pretty good birds they are:

First Stop at Dutch Bottoms in Cocke County:

2 Eastern Kingbirds ( Flycatchers )

2 Killdeer

Green Herons ( Flying over )

Downy Woodpecker ( on the right of boat dock in a tree in the water )

Turkey Vulture ( also soaring over head )

Second Stop at Leadville in White Pine:

Green Heron ( catching food next to the Leadville boat dock and the water is on 
both sides of the boat dock )

About 5 Black Vultures ( same location )

The Third Stop is at Mossy Creek Wildlife Viewing Area From the Viewing Blinds 
1 & 2 in Jefferson City: 

About 4 Great Blue Herons ( a possible nesting in Mossy Creek )

2 Wood Ducks ( 1 Drake and 1 Hen / and also a possible baby wood ducks in the 
Wood Duck nesting box in the marsh I saw movement walking towards the Viewing 
Blind 1)

Baltimore Oriole ( in the grass next to the side walk )

Indigo Bunting ( Next to the parking lot )

Turkey Vultures ( also soaring over head )

Chimney Swifts

Tree Swallows 

and the fourth stop at the Cherokee Dam in Jefferson City and the TWRA Acess 
Boat Dock in Grainger County:

About 5 Great Blue Herons ( next to the spillway next to the Cherokee Dam )

Cliff Swallows ( between Jefferson City and Grainger County )

Great Crested Flycatcher ( heard but not seen )
