Also this count is still relatively young. This year's count is dedicated to Howard Langridge who passed away in November of 2004. He was a tremendous birder, known from Florida to Tennessee, and was our bird dog for Quarry bog in Shady Valley. He produced the LeConte's Sparrow and provided hours of humerous conversation on the really cold counts. This count missed Howard deeply.
