February 28, 2015 8am - 9:30amWith the increasing numbers of ducks coming south due to freezing waters up north, I had to get out for a couple of hours this morning.
Second Creek Boat Ramp, Trousdale County about 2 miles south of Highway 25, west of HartsvilleHighlight when I pulled up was looking at the group of Canada Geese at the far end of the parking lot and finding that they were all Greater White-Fronted Geese. They then flew out and landed on the water, leaving two Canada Geese behind.
Great Blue Heron 7 Pied-Billed Grebe 8 Canada Goose 5 Greater White-Fronted Goose 24 Gadwall 6 Common Loon 1 Ring-Billed Gull 4 Blue Jay 2 American Robin 1Fox Sparrow 2 feeding along the road just outside the entrance to the boatramp
