Despite driving Batson Parkway daily, until today I had not seen another Scissor-tailed Flycatcher since my last report in April. Today I saw two sitting on the wooden fence opposite the entrance to Highland Crest College. I could easily have missed them because that fence is not especially close to the road. But one was facing the sun and its white breast caught my eye. This sighting was gratifying because it adds evidence that the species is breeding here. Last summer I saw three in the same area.
