Oct 1, 2008 Montgomery County, TN Fort Campbell One of the other biologists just informed me this morning that he heard and saw a couple of Sandhill cranes flying over his office building yesterday morning about 5:30am. The birds were flying SW and were apparently not flying very high. This is the first time Sandhills have been seen on base outside of the December through February timeframe.
