Four sandhill cranes were spotted again late this afternoon upstream from the
Miser Station Bridge. They were perhaps 300 yards upstream from the bridge,
almost out of sight near a curve in the creek. I first spotted them midday on
Nov. 28th, but I did not see them on a followup visit on December 1st.
However, the Dec. 1st visit was early in the morning, and the rising sun
reflecting off of the water and the wet mud flats made observations difficult.
Last winter more than 20 were present at one point at this same site.
