After seeing so many sightings of this bird reported I decided to make the 2 hour drive from Sikeston, Missouri to see it for myself. Got to the area about 9:00....was joined about 9:30 or 10:00 by a couple of gentlemen from near Nashville, and an hour or so later bya couple from Murray, KY. Finally at 11:30 the Sabine's made an appearance. It dove and reeled and put on quiet an aerobatic show, giving all great scope- and binocular-looks at it's beautiful patterns. I'd like to thank the KY and TN bird lists, and Kevin Breault in particular, for the reports and the directions. I am sure many posted specifics, but Kevin's were the first I saw and the ones I printed to take with me, and they were spot on perfect! Lifer Number 398 for me! Let's Go Birding!
