Thanks, Mike. The Nelson's would have been a bonus for sure! I hope the folks yesterday that lucked out and saw both in Mid-TN in the same day realize how fortunate they were! :) Ed SchneiderDavidson Co. Harris's Sparrow: YES To: ed.schneider@xxxxxxxxxxx; tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Congrats Ed, great shot! I was hoping the weather wasn't as bad there as it is here now, with 30+mph winds. I think this shot shows the bird to definitely be an adult with the black throat and extensive black on lores. Wish I could get over, haven't seen one in TN in several years myself. Wish the Nelson's had cooperated for you also. Harris's Sparrow: YES I managed to get eyes on the bird a couple times this morning around 8:30 after an hour and a half trying. Only other sparrows of note were two LINCOLN'S along with expected species. As I was heading back to my vehicle I was surprised to see a rather late BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER. Thanks to all for the reports and details, nice to add this to my Statelist. Ed SchneiderDavidson Co.
