2/17/06 McKenzie, TN Carroll Co. Had the 1st birding experience I've had in the last month or so today. I was on my way to Huntingdon to pick up some last-minute things for a birding trip to CA on Monday (assuming we can get to the airport). While leaving my driveway I saw a mixed flock of Grackles and about 20 Rusty Blackbirds feeding in a wet spot in my yard. In twelve years at this very residential residence, this is my 1st time for Rusties in this neighborhood. Matter of fact, I believe these were my 1st Rusties of the year. Good Birding!!
