Sumner County
The ruddy turnstone was still present this morning (10 am, Thursday, Sept.
30)straight across the rookery island at Drake’s Creek Marina. It was foraging
near cormorants and killdeer along the container structure of the marina that
juts out toward the middle of the lake. It can be viewed, albeit distantly,
from the turnoff immediately north of the marina entrance. The afternoon sun
would be better for photos.
