I went to Snow Bunting Peninsula this morning 11/7 to see what might have
dropped in. It was pretty quiet on the point, although with Bonaparte's,
Ring-billed, and a couple of Herring Gulls out on the water, and a Northern
Harrier soaring over and rather out of context.
A RED-THROATED LOON was seen through the scope with a distant group of
Common Loons. The bird's white face and throat stood out clearly from the
others. I messaged about it with Scott Somershoe, and it seems to be an
early Davidson County record.
