Reece Jamerson, Howard Langridge and Bryan Stevens tried for the Red-necked Grebe on Sunday, Feb. 23. We tried first at Steadman Drive, where Rick Waldrop found the bird Saturday. It wasn't there. So, we tried at Lake Breeze Drive, where the bird was first reported. We found the Red-necked Grebe fairly quickly. Also present were many Ring-billed Gulls and at least five Herring Gulls. In our search around Boone Lake, we also found many Pied-billed Grebe, a single Bufflehead female, and a flock of seven Wild Turkeys.
