Shelby Co. TN
DeSoto/Tunica Co. MS
The Red-necked Grebe has been present now for over a month at Robco Lake
and shows little sign of changing into breeding plumage.
In Mississippi, I found only one small flock of Golden-Plovers in DeSoto
Co, and big numbers of Least and Pectoral Sandpipers along with a single
Western, 5 Dunlin, reduced numbers of Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs, scattered
Wilson's Snipe and a single Long-b Dowitcher around the Tunica Co, ponds.
Also sixteen species of waterfowl were found scattered across the catfish
ponds but no gulls were present at the Landfill. The stunningly plumaged
Krider's Hawk is still hanging out near Little Texas.

What is this feathered thing that lifts my heart to the heavens.
