Just a few moments ago, I opened my French doors here at my home in the Charlotte Park area of West Nashville just a few blocks east of the Cleece's Ferry boat landing at the Cumberland River and heard, then saw, a wonderful little red breasted nuthatch climbing up one of the pine trees in my back yard. This is the third time I've had one, but it's been several years since I've seen one here. Since I don't keep data, I can't say when I had one the last time. My first one was on October 3, 1993, and I've had one since then somewhere around four or five years later. Love those precious little darlings!
