Douglas Lake, 9/5/13, 5-8pm, by canoe
Lake elevation: 990.4 ft - first time below 991 ft. since mid-spring

Mudflats and shorebirds just beginning to show. Little rain in the 10-day
forecast, so conditions should continue to improve.
Cattle egret and N. Waterthrush were uncommon sightings.
Vegetation along the access road has been trimmed (thanks, TWRA) but the
roadbed still has the nastiest potholes in the county.
