Upper Douglas Lake, Cocke county 2:00 to 5:00 PM, 02/19/07 Lake elevation: 949.3' We checked out several areas around Dutch Bottoms (DB) by car, then walked and drove along the old RR bed at Rankin Bottoms (RB) from the Leadvale crossing to beyond the gate to the south. There's no "lake" in these areas now; the broad barrens of Dutch Bottoms held little standing water; Rankin Bottoms is a big cocklebur field with a couple of ponds and a shallow creek.
