Rankin Bottoms, Cocke county, 8/30/12, 6:30-8 PM, by disabled canoe (motor 
malfunction)
Douglas Lake elevation: 983.9

A brief, late trip; we didn't get to see all the species reported by Kevin 
Burke on TN-Bird yesterday - fading light, many birds & on the move.  There's 
now over 2 miles of mudflat edge, most of it still 1/2 mile, or more, distant 
from the road.  We found a few birds not listed by Burke;  GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, FORSTER'S TERN (2), and BLACK TERN (4).
