Keith Watson and I Kayaked Rankin Bottoms this morning and the following is a
partial list of what we observed:

Kildeer 100+
Least Sandpiper 110
Pectoral Sandpiper 50+
Semipalmated Sandpiper 40
Western Sandpiper 15
Semipalmated Plover 18
Baird's Sandpiper 3
Lesser Yellowlegs 6
Solitary Sandpiper 12
Spotted Sandpiper 6
Sanderling 1
Short-billed Dowitcher 1
Stilt Sandpiper 1
White-rumped Sandpiper 2

Little Blue Heron 1
Great Blue Heron 30
Great Egret 120
Green Heron 8
Black-crowned Nightheron 25

All Birding was done by Kayak. The mud is still a little too far away for
clear details in a scope, but the water level is getting much lower every day.
I would say by the weekend the mud will be close enough for some awesome
Shorebirding!
