Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co., TN 2014 Apr. 25 The overnight rain produced a windy but good morning at Radnor Lake. Searching with 5 other birders, I found 14 species of warblers. It was a very Good Palm Friday, with at least 20 of those warblers. The best area was around the dam, which produced a mixed flock that included Cerulean, Bay-breasted, Yellow, Blackpoll, American Redstart, as well as Palm, Yellow-rumped, and Louisiana Waterthrush. I finished with 60 species for the morning. Snow Bunting Peninsula Old Hickory Lake Davidson Co. TN I took my lunch break at Snow Bunting Peninsula and at 1 pm the 21 American Avocets were still there with the 2 dowitchers mentioned by Steve Zipperer. Also at the point of the peninsula was a single Willet and a Caspian Tern was on one of the buoys.
