Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co. Nashville, TN Tuesday, 2009 Oct. 20 7:15-9:45am clear and cool It was great to be in the sunshine Tuesday morning at Radnor Lake. And that is where all the birds were as well. Warbler numbers of in general (except for YELLOW-RUMPEDs) were down compared to yesterday although I did finish with 9 species. Like yesterday I saw a BLUE-HEADED VIREO, but only found 1 INDIGO BUNTING today. Instead, numbers of E. PHOEBEs had increased to six. Best bird of the day was my first of the season (fos) DARK-EYED JUNCO. I heard several WHITE-THROATED SPARROWs sing briefly. Winter birds are certainly making their way south. Birds of interest included: Barred Owl 1 heard only Chimney Swift 45+ Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1 N. Flicker 4 E. Wood-Pewee 1 E.
