Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co., TN
2012 Sep. 5
7-9 am
foggy, cloudy, warm and very humid

Scouting out the NTOS Wednesday walks 1 week in advance I had a
relatively birdy morning despite the uncomfortable conditions.
I ran into 3 mixed warbler flocks and managed to ID 9 species
including GOLDEN-WINGED, CANADA, CHESTNUT-SIDED, and MAGNOLIA.
Other birds of note included GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH,
YELLOW-THROATED VIREO and a calling ACADIAN FLYCATCHER.
Unfortunately for me, I did not find the specific warbler,
vireo, and flycatcher species that I sought. Guess I'll just
have to go back for another try.
