Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co. Nashville, TN 2010 April 14 Wednesday about 7-9:30 am Needing to go to work on this Wednesday morning I nevertheless managed to stop at Radnor Lake first. Phillip Casteel and I walked around Radnor Lake ahead of the NTOS group and so found a few different birds. We shared 44 species with several firsts of the year. We finally got a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER at Radnor and a HOODED WARBLER near the west parking lot, with a total of 6 warbler species. We also hear our first SCARLET TANAGER of 2010. A silent YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO was a good addition as was a BLUE-HEADED VIREO. A latish GADWALL was on the lake was joined by 5 AM COOTs. River Plantation Subdivision Bellevue Davidson Co. 2010 April 14 Wednesday At home in the evening I enjoyed the cooling evening and managed to accumulate 23 species the best of which was my first CLIFF SWALLOW of the new year.
