Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co.
Nashville, TN
Monday 2010 Oct. 18
7:15-9:10 am
mostly cloudy, temp in mid 50s

It was a good morning for a variety of migrants if you were not
interested in warblers and vireos. ROSE-BRESTED GROSBEAKs and
GRAY CATBIRDs continue to migrate through. I saw my first of the
season DARK EYED JUNCOs and AMERICAN COOTs. Also on the lake
were migrating AM. WIGEON, GADWALL, and PIED-BILLED GREBEs.
HOUSE and WINTER WRENs made an appearance. Also found were
a lone SUMMER TANAGER and SWAINSON'S THRUSH. At Long Bridge I
did get 1 of the rarer warblers, an ORANGE-CROWNED. All in all
a very nice walk this morning.

Birds of interest included:
Wood Duck 11
Gadwall 6
Am. Wigeon 5
Pied-billed Grebe 2
N. Flicker 4
E. Phoebe 2
