Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co. Nasvhille, TN Wednesday 18 October 2006 7:15 - 9:00 am cloudy, warm I wandered ahead of the small Nashville TOS Wednesday Walk group. As expected, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERs dominated but I did pick up 6 species of warblers. Included were a single 1st winter ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER and 1st winter BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, plus nice views of TENNESSEE and BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLERs. Two SWAINSON'S THRUSHes, a GRAY CATBIRD, a WINTER WREN, and 2 INDIGO BUNTINGs added to the diversity. Birds of interest included: Pied-Billed Grebe 1 Wood Duck 1 Gadwall 15 Ring-necked Duck 2 Cooper's Hawk 1 adult Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1 Northern Flicker 3 Eastern Phoebe 2 Winter Wren 1 Swainson's Thrush 2 Hermit Thrush 1 Gray Catbird 1 Cedar Waxwing 6 Tennessee Warbler 8 Orange-crowned Warbler 1 Magnolia Warbler 8 Yellow-rumped Warbler 35+ Black-throated Green Warbler 2 Blackburnian Warbler 1 Indigo Bunting 2 -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 3500 John A.
