Radnor Lake State Natural Area

Nashville, TN
Monday 2008 September 15

With the arrival of cool weather, I visited Radnor Lake
Monday morning and took my usual tour from the West Parking
Lot to Long Bridge. Vying for first place in numbers were
AM REDSTARTs and MAGNOLIA WARBLERs. The redstarts eventually
won my individual count. Variety was about the same as last
week, and I had 12 warbler species for the morning.

Species of interest included:

Yellow-billed Cuckoo 1
Chimney Swift 12
E. Wood-Pewee 5
E. Phoebe 2
White-eyed Vireo 4
Red-eyed Vireo 2
Swainson's Thrush 2
Gray Catbird 1
Brown Thrasher 2
Cedar Waxwing 12

Warblers:
Blue-winged 4
Tennessee 3
N. Parula 1
Chestnut-sided 2
Magnolia 25
Black-throated Green 2
Blackburnian 1
Black-and-white 5
